To further accelerate our efforts, we completed the merger of Marubeni Tetsugen and Marubeni Metals in April 2026. It’s a fusion of an iron expert and a specialist in nonferrous metals, both with proven expertise and experience.

Marking a step ahead as “Marubeni Tetsugen Metals,” the new company enables comprehensive circular-economy operations, including the efficient recycling of urban metal waste to meet demand for iron and nonferrous metals that underpin national infrastructure and make people’s lifestyles possible. Technological innovations, too, are critically dependent on the stable supply of nonferrous metals, such as copper and aluminum.

The merit of the integration also extends to a firm business alliance with our global partners and our strongly-held customer trust, fostered by the over 40-year history of both companies. With those assets further deepened and extended, I’m confident that we can swiftly and boldly create next-generation resource circulation paths.

Our fusion also unites corporate infrastructure and human resources, solidifying skills in sales lead generation and conversion, and accelerating the creation of new business.
